Russian anarchists on Navalny’s death: Solidarity zone

From fights with Nazis to a split due to the war. The story of antifa in Russia

The antifascist movement emerged in Russia in the late 1990s – early 2000s as a response to neo-Nazis’ violence: back then, the far-right was attacking migrants, homeless people, punks and anyone they didn’t like almost daily. Over the past couple of decades, the movement has changed significantly, having gone through murders of its participants, numerous criminal cases and now a split due to the war.

What is known about the new terrorism case against antifascists in Tyumen

At the beginning of September, a court in Tyumen arrested six antifascists, the youngest of whom is 23, the oldest - 28 years old. One of the arrested is accused of organizing a terrorist group, the rest – of participation. Apart from that, two of the defendants in the case are accused of manufacturing explosives. Since then, three of the accused, have informed about tortures by electric shocks.

Hundreds of protesters detained after massive wave of repressions in Belarus

March 25 was planned by some liberal opposition leaders as the day of the biggest protest against Lukashenko’s policies this year. The biggest one on the wave of the recent anti-governmental demonstrations that started in February this year. It ended with the biggest police mobilization in years bringing thousands of riot cops to Minsk and detaining hundreds of people preventive and during the demonstration. This Saturday capital of Belarus looked like a war zone created by the police.

Belarus: Dozens of anarchists arrested in Minsk after anti-government protest

Today in three major cities of Belarus – Minsk, Mogilev and Grodno – people took the streets protesting against government attempts to collect tax off the unemployed (details of the story ). In Minsk, demonstrations managed to gather more that 1 500 people, in Mogilev and Grodno 1 000 each. These are the biggest protests those cities have seen in decades.

Through the Looking-Glass and through the hell

In August, Pyotr Silayev was arrested in Granada, Spain by anti-terrorist special forces. He was then moved to Madrid, where the Audiencia Nacional was to make a decision about his extradiction to Russia. All this based on charges stemming from a demonstration organized by anti-fascists and enviromentalists against the city administration of Khimki, Moscow region. He was released after 8 days, but he is still stuck in Spain, pending the decision of his extradiction to Russia.

One “Khimki hostage” acquired, another one got 2 years suspended sentence

24th of June, judge of the Khimki city court of Moscow region of Russia, Neonila Zepalova, sentenced “Khimki hostages”, anti-fascist activists Alexei Gaskarov and Maxim Solopov, who were accused of organisation of a radical demonstration against construction of the Moscow-St. Petersburg toll highway, which took place in Moscow Suburb of Khimki 28th of July.

Anarchy. Direct Action.

First of all, let me change the order of the story and start with our own, anarchic view of the situation: "Anarchy. Direct action " . Why? Because although instead of conversation, and you can use the stick, the words always retain their power. Words give the meaning of the surrounding reality for those who are willing to listen. They declare us the truth. And the truth is this: our country is going something wrong, is not it? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and depression, the prohibition of the right to protest a ban on thinking about the protest.Instead, we have - a system of external supervision and corporate media.

Student offensive. Kiev.

Any power to suppress and discredit these people's protests (and not a political clown opponents during the election) enlists the aid of the nationalists, who are always ready for small investments "in the case of the nation" to do all the dirty robot.
Sometimes it is disguised as a blunt attack, and sometimes, as happened today, under the guise of "comrades in the struggle" to get into, and to embroil the most to discredit protesters.

In Egypt, began anti-government riots

Egyptian police used tear gas to disperse the demonstration, members of which demanded the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak and for fundamental reforms in the country, reported Agence France-Presse.

Despite the presence of 20,000 police officers armed with batons, water cannons and other special funds, tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in the central Tahrir Square under national flags and anti-government slogans.

TOTAL PERSONNEL CHAOS IN DHL

This story started at the end of 2008. I was resigning from one company that deals with transportation between Russia and Ossetia. As many others – I was looking for a better job and I was also tired of working on “GAZel” (Russian mini-bus). I have chosen a large respected company – CJSC DHL International. Only later I understood that it is “a full fucking International”. I was thoroughly collecting all references and documents of medical examination as I have never worked before in such a large company. Moreover, I really appreciated the conditions I was offered: good car fleet, nutrition, official uniform, employment benefits, good stable salary. Just a dream! So I collected all the documents and fulfilled work during the probation period. I started to work and receive money for my work. First time I got very tired. Moscow roads – you understand. But I stayed tolerant as I was paid money! It was time for my first vacation in this company. I was allowed to have vacation, what else could they do – it is done this way almost everywhere.

The action of anti-fascists at Trinity Square.

January 19, 2011 marks exactly two years since the assassination of anti-fascists Markelov and Anastasia Baburova. Shares of memory and the protest took place on this day in many cities around the world. We remember the people who are victims of the Nazis, remember and continue to fight.

In Tyumen, in memory of Anastasia and Stas laid flowers at the monument to the fighters of the Revolution

In Tyumen, January 19 Rally memory of those killed by the Nazis anti-fascists - a lawyer Markelov and Anastasia Baburova.

About twenty people gathered at six o'clock in the evening at a monument to the fighters of the revolution: the Tyumen anti-fascists, anarchists, journalists and simply indifferent. On the pedestal of the monument to put photos of Nastya and Stas. Participants lit candles and laid red carnations to the portraits. Despite the wind, the candles were burning, even when the action ended. See below for video from the rally.
