Autonomous Action

On Saturday, March 15, in Stockholm will host a public meeting focused on libertarian protest activities in modern Russia. There will be two talks:

1. The past and the present of Autonomous Action: an affinity group, an anarchist organization, a media collective. What's next? (presented by Artem)

2. Ethnic minority resistance in Russia (presented by Kira)

The presentations will be in English.

Time: March 15, 13:00.

2024 was not easy for anyone: wars around the world, right-wing governments coming to power, tightening repression and screws were on the agenda in various countries.

The «Autonomous Action» Media Group is a community of Russian-speaking anarchists located in Russia, forced to leave it temporarily or living in other countries. «The most important war for us» is the Ukrainian one. The future of Russia directly depends on its outcome.

This video on YouTube channel "The Right Podcast" includes an overview of Autonomous Action and an interview with Antti Rautiainen who was exiled from Russia. Antti talks about the history of Autonomous Action, the current website that arose from the movement, events in Russia leading up to his exile, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, anarchist resistance to Russia, work with political prisoners and more.

Situation in our country starts to resemble the era of Cold war. US army organizes a military parade across east Europe, mainstream media hails propaganda of USA, high-ranking politician would gladly accept permanent presence of soldiers of United States. The similar slogans, that were used to celebrate USSR, now celebrate USA. The similar catchwords, that were used to defame US imperialism, defame now Russia. This is all because we are forced to accept alleged need of strengthening our army to defend against Russian threat.
