Sept. 15 at the Prospectus Engels in the Vyborg district rally against the demolition of garages, which was attended by more than a hundred people. Motorists were willing to stand in the way of construction equipment. On their garages have been posted that it was yesterday, was supposed to begin the demolition, however, the bulldozers have not appeared. But defenders of the boxes are sure - they still have to keep the defense.
The dispute over territory on the corner of Prospect and Engels third of the upper alley is not the first year. Nearby, at the metro Parnas, constructed a residential complex. Therefore, the territory of the neighborhood, where there are two thousand garages, liked the investor.
For housing the premises are not suitable: too close are power lines and sewage systems.So there are planning to erect farm buildings, and the owners of boxes instead of promised land in Pargolovo. Motorists do not believe the promises. They have already written a letter to the president, sue in court and ready to keep the defense to the end.
