It is so disappointing but not unexpected — knowing that anarchists are much more ignorant than Marxists — to see that two self proclaimed anarchists haven't heard the slogan HITLER IS DEAD, LONG LIVE HITLER! I believe this to be the most significant observation about the world we live in since WWII.

Another very disappointing void is that not even a word about Makhnovists.

But then Petr and his interlocutor both seem to be PROGRESSISTS which is the real ideology of the far right fascists, of leftist, and the majority of anarchists. In any case, fascism is offspring of liberalism. We have other varieties as well. Liberal fascist Merkel is one freak, hybrid Confucianist-Communist China another, and all in between. And all these are set in motion by the real ruler of the world CAPITAL.

We could understand and Kropotkin's naive attachment to the motor of the PROGRESS called SCIENCE in polite circles in 19th century context. Bookchin's belief that THE WEST IS INFINITELY BETTER THAN ALL THAT CAME BEFORE IT, BUT CAN BE BETTER is plain ugly.

Here I will jump ahead to show how many people do not know what science is and yet defend it. Are we to evaluate these absolute cruelties by hiding behind empty words such as nationalism, capitalism, democracy, etc., etc., etc., etc?

First thing is that the liberals know better than anyone that capitalism and war go together. Look at the statistics of the USA arm sales now, or remember the famous "military-industrial complex". Look at the statistics of the rise of arm sales everywhere in last 10-20 years, you'll see many small wars everywhere and rise of arm sales by mostly rich liberal countries.

What about Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Afghanistan, Chechnya? And even Libya and Syria, if you like.

Western countries have enriched/enrich themselves bleeding people from all over the world to distribute to the middle-classes who are, though I know they can be charming, the worst kind of human beings.

Already in the 19th century the great George Sand, when addressed all French people, said: "You gave up living to live better" This applies even better to the middle-classes everywhere now; they are the cheerful robots of present order of the world.

One last word, Petr mentions George Orwell. What seems to be missing is that that was an early recognition of the fact that the world is reconstructed with words, that is what NewsSpeak is. He knew he lived in that world, we too are living in it, but it's not a monopoly of any particular regime or dictatorship. As a recent article aptly reminded the truth loving English people that "Putin exploits the lie machine but didn’t invent it", that their government knowingly killed millions and millions wherever they went and then destroyed the documents that contain the records of their deeds by dumping them into the seas. There are many more similar examples of the feats of the blue eyed blond people that have been around at most five centuries. The West is the last henchman of a freak that was born about 7 thousand years ago. But now that's all we have and the middle-class blue eyed blond people everywhere cheerfully doing doing their TikTakToks etc.

It may help to read, at least, the magnificent article written by Marshall Sahlins, called "The Western Illusion of Human Nature". My problem with it is that its scope is too narrow. It is to be corrected by adding, Sumer to Europe is same as Europe to America.
