May 13 — Birthday of Tyumen Case Defendant Nikita Oleynik
Submitted by Редакция on 7 May, 2026 - 20:44
He will turn 31 years old. According to the support group, this is already the fourth birthday he is spending in captivity.
Nikita is an anarchist and anti-fascist from Surgut. Together with another defendant in the “Tyumen case,” Roman Paklin, he helped create the libertarian library Storm Petrel, which collected books on anarchist theory and philosophy. Nikita studied surgery at Surgut State University and is fond of philosophy, literature, poetry, art, and music. He was also interested in boxing and spent a lot of time in nature.
While imprisoned, Nikita has been engaging in self-reflection, studying new books and philosophical works, and has also taken up drawing and writing poetry.
“Despite his strong character, support from loved ones, like-minded people, and friends is very important for Nik. We can give him the warmth of our letters, words of support, and birthday wishes. On this special day, let’s remind Nikita that he is not alone, that he is valued, remembered, and loved by everyone who shares his views and values,” the support group urges.
