With the plaza occupation movement, riotous general strikes, occupations, neighborhood assemblies, the riots against the eviction of squatted social center Can Vies, the rise of the far left, and multiple waves of repression under the guise of counterterrorism, the last years have been turbulent in Barcelona, and anarchists have often been at the center of events, or playing an influential role from the margins. A comrade who lives in Barcelona will discuss various strategies from the social war, the strengths and weaknesses of current anarchist positions,as well as prospects for the future.
This talk will be given by an anarchist comrade living in Barcelona, who has participated in the organization of the general strikes, the neighborhood assemblies, the Can Vies uprising, and in solidarity and support initiatives in response to various waves of repression. He is also the author of "Fire Extinguishers and Fire Starters," "La Rosa de Foc Ha Tornat (The Rose of Fire Has Returned)", "After the Crest" and other texts analyzing anarchist participation in the social movements in Barcelona.

Disturbances is an open series of lectures and discussions at the crossroads of society, philosophy, history, economy and resistance.
We are already aware that we can not live as before, but we do not know what the future holds. Others are stuck in the past, but we only want to understand it. Even a small disturbance of an initial condition can lead a system into a completely different state.
Our speakers are Finnish and international anti-authoritarian researchers and activists. Events are organized in cooperation with A-ryhmä and AutOp, two student groups of the University of Helsinki. You may also follow lecture online (both real-time and recording) at http://bambuser.com/channel/A-ryhma. In this lecture, only audio will be translated and recorded.

There is one small step at the downstairs front door, and an elevator that runs between from floor 1 to 6. Kupoli is on the 7th floor after a staircase.
There are two searate, rather spacey but not wheelchair-standardized, unisex toilets. There are stairs between Kupoli and wc.
