A demonstration against far-right meeting in Holiday Inn of St. Petersburg

Let's stop the convention of fascists in Holiday Inn (St. Petersburg)

Meeting at Holiday Inn Helsinki City Center (Elielinaukio 5), Sunday 22th of March 3PM

On the 22 of March, the convention of European Neo-Nazi parties, is going to take place in St. Petersburg. The convention organized by Russian neo-fascist pro-Putin party “Rodina” (“Motherland”). The following European neo-fascist and ultra far-right organizations are taking part in the conference: Golden Dawn, Greece; National Democratic Party of Germany; Svenskarnas parti, Sweden; Attack (Ataka), Bulgaria; Freedom Party of Austria; Serbian Radical Party; Forza Nuova, Italy; and some others.

The most astonishing is that exactly the hotel Holiday Inn, belonging to the Britain corporation InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), considered to be the world's largest hotel chains, provides the platform for the Neo-Nazi forum. Someone may object that the hotel management shouldn't be interested in moral and political side of actions, held at its territory. After all, Holiday Inn is a commercial organization, doing “just business”. But isn't it exactly this way how European and American corporations and banks justify the cooperation with Nazi regime - including Ford, Coca cola, Siemens, General Electric, Nestle?

Business, surely, is responsible for the consequences of their deals, which are not always politically and morally neutral. In case of hotel Holiday Inn, hospitably opening its doors to racists, antisemits, right-wing terrorists accomplices from the Greek “Golden Dawn”, the National Democratic Party of Germany, the British National Party and similar organizations, we have classic example of social irresponsibility and capitalistic cynicism.

Such openly militaristic concourse, whose only purpose is to provide the semblance of European public opinion support to Putin, to put it mildly, shows IHG in an unfavorable light.

Stop neo-fascists and their collaborates! Boycott Holiday Inn!
