2.17 Demonstration of solidarity in Berlin with all Belarusian political prisoners

On Thursday evening (02/17/2011) hosted a demonstration of solidarity with the Belarusian zaklyuchennymi.Demonstratsiya began at 18 o'clock, in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg (Kreuzberg "Heinrichplatz"). There were about 35 people, just playing music, was made public a report on the repression of the anarchists and the opposition, handed out leaflets and newspapers.

Short update of the recent repressions against anarchists in Belarus

As of right now four Belarussian anarchists are under arrest, accused of having organised a series of direct actions 2009-2010. 
 
Everything started long before this past September(2010). The years 2009-2010  were rich in radical actions claimed by Belarusian anarchists. Such as:
 
 *an illegal anti-militarist demonstration in Septeber 2009 against a mutual
 Russian-Belarusian war exercise,  when a Joint Staff was attacked with a smoke   grenade.

Solidarity

On February 11, IR-26 Volgograd 600 prisoners went on hunger strike in solidarity with the North Caucasian republics.

The reason for the strike served as a regular "preventive" raid, which occurred in the colony on the same day. In the barracks, where about 30 are serving sentences of convicts, accompanied by chief of security of the colony Vitaly Kursenkova and another officer - Sergei Pogorelov dropped special forces wearing masks.

Picket in support of Jock Palfreeman in Moscow

Today on the 11th of February from 4 till 5 p.m. near the embassy of Bulgaria in Moscow there was a picket in support of antifascist Jock Palfreeman. In the action anarchists, including members of Autonomous Action, Confederation of revolutionary anarcho-syndicalists and International Workers Association took part. Members of the picket unwrapped the banner: «Life is an argument - against Nazism!» and two posters, one of them with the title: «FREEdom for Jock PalFREEman!» and another one with quote from the song «Our 14 words» of hardcore group What We feel: «Love and respect, tolerance, equality and brotherhood despite the skin color and wealth’s level!»

Greece: anarchists of the "Thessaloniki four" at large

Anarchists of Greece reported the release of "Thessaloniki Quartet: group of activists were arrested after the anti-globalization protests in Thessaloniki in 2003. Four of his comrades, including anarchist from England by Simon Chapman, found not guilty (except for one minor offense) on charges of participating in protests during the EU summit and riots in Thessaloniki in 2003. All the activists at large.

Bulgaria: In memory of an anarchist George Nedyalkova

Federation of Anarchists of Bulgaria regrets to report: the age of 83 years in Bulgaria died a well-known anarchist Georgi Bozhilov Nedyalkov. He was born April 16, 1927 in the village Rosoman near Sofia in a large peasant family. He graduated from the school of mines in Pernik and there became acquainted with the ideas of anarchism, which he remained faithful throughout his life.

Rundown of actions in solidarity for Belarusian anarchists 10th-13th of December

10th-13th of December were international days of solidarity with repressed Belarusian anarchists and social activists. Actions took place in 13 cities of six countries. In upcoming days, there will be discussions and fundraising in three more cities of Poland and Belarus.

Currently there are four persons in Belarusian prisons, who are accused of having taken part to various political actions between September 2009 and September 2010.

Moscow anarchists marched in defense of their Belarusian colleagues

Today, Dec. 12, about 30 anarchists and anti-fascists in Moscow conducted an illegal procession. Around 8 pm, with a column covering the street Fire and signal flare went on Maroseyka by the Belarusian embassy, chanting "Freedom for Belarus anarchists," "Putin and Luke freaks, anarchists to freedom," "Games in the policy - the case by a condom!" and other slogans. The protesters carried a banner "We demand an end to repression against Maxim Vetkin, Dedkov Nicholas, Alexandra Frantskevych, Igor Olinevicha" black and red flags.

YSU students have announced a rally of solidarity with Nicholas Dedkov

Students of the European Humanities University and the Youth Initiative StudAlliance announced an indefinite campaign of solidarity with the student at YSU Nicholas Dedkov, which is already two and a half months is held in custody. About this BelaPAN reported in the press service StudAlliance.

Jock Palfreeman's murder case adjourned in Bulgaria

SMALL but significant steps have been made towards possible freedom for a young Australian man sentenced to 20 years in a Bulgarian jail.

Paul "Jock" Palfreeman, who grew up in Mosman, was last year found guilty of murdering Bulgarian law student Andrei Monov, 20, and severely wounding Anton Zahariev, 19, during a drunken brawl on December 28, 2007 in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.

Looking back, now in one of bulgarian prisons there is an australian antifascist Jock Palfreeman, who was charged with 20 years prison for self-defence. The hearing on his case was delayed from 21 of October to 11 of November. On this week we recieved a letter form Jock, he wrote, that it's important to to keep pressure on Bulgarian authorities in 3 months after the trial (21th of October), because
decision will be posted 2-3 months after. We call everyone to support Jock Palfreeman. Write to him and send protest letter to bulgarian authorities.

News on the case of Alexei Sokolov

In mid-November in the case of human rights activist Alexei Sokolov will be filed an application for parole. Protecting Alexei Sokolov have already started to prepare for it. Before considering the case on parole will be held rallies in support, as in Yekaterinburg, and in other cities. We encourage you to participate in support of Alexis.

Izhevsk: "Freedom Khimki hostages!" Graffiti campaign

Today, on 20th of October near the Embassy of Bulgaria in Moscow was organized a picket in support of Jock Palfreeman. In the picket anarchists, antifascists, leftists and members of Autonomous-Action Moscow took part.

In Yekaterinburg, near the offices of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus held a rally of solidarity with the Belarusian anarchist

Today in the 17-40 anarchists and human rights activists in Yekaterinburg and Tyumen gathered near the Mission of Belarus to Yekaterinburg to protest harassment of Belarusian anarchist and social activist. Participants of the rally stretched the 10-meter banner in the Belarusian language "Will belaruskim anarhistam!" And distributed leaflets. Leaflets include information on prosecution and detention of activists in Belarus and called for solidarity with the prisoners.

Khimki town court released Maxim Solopov from the arrest

Khimki town court has ruled to change the pre-trial restriction for Maxim Solopov from arrest to a written pledge not to leave town. The court lasted from 11 am to 4 pm today, October 18, with a three-hour break for preparation of the court ruling. Judge Svetlana Galanova has ruled to release Maxim Solopov from the arrest immediately in the court room.
